Aryz- About the artist
Born in the US, Aryz moved to live near Barcelona in Spain at the age of three. This is where he grew up listening to hip-hop and learning the art of spray painting with local graffiti crews. Focussing more on the figurative, Aryz enjoyed painting characters between the graf writers’ pieces. An injury to his finger diverted him away from using spray paint. This is when he learned to paint with a brush and roller and do more solo pieces.

To challenge himself he began to paint larger murals in the abandoned factories and warehouses surrounding his home city. Aryz is best known for his large scale figurative mural works be they of skeletal animals or of human forms in dynamic poses. He employs muted and earthy palettes to beautiful effect.

Beyond the large-scale murals that Aryz is best known, he also creates studio paintings and prints of high quality. Aryz straddles the worlds of street art and contemporary fine art with style and aplomb. He lives and works in Barcelona and exhibits world-wide. He is an artist whose work is greatly admired and super collectible. He is also reputed to be generous with his art to the communities he works in and personally modest. - Traits that endear him to his fans.
